Second Sunday Social, a community based event featuring activities, games, food, drink and live music, kicked off on Jan 8 with a pretty decent showing. The event ran from Noon to 5 and featured food and beverage from Conny Creek Brewing. Young and old were in attendance with many playing board games, cards, dice, and even corn hole. Live music was provided by an array of musicians young and old as well, featuring 16 year old Cody doing some drumming, 20 year old Abby throwing it down on bass, veteran singer/songwriter Marty Zundel, the amazing talent of Jenifer Lynn Baker, members of The Mo Show and Noble Hops, and Freeport Junior Katelyn Hemphill. The event resumes February 12, which will include some football themed activities, and will continue each Second Sunday in Cafeteria Hall, and when the weather is nice it will move onto the front lawn area. The event is FREE to attend and open to all.

Inaugural Second Sunday Social a success
